Theme of War

I have chosen war because Jonathan said " O' Lord, make it be a battle". Now coming from this statement it seems that Jonathan wants this war to be a battle. But of course he does not know what could possibly happen to him. He has no clue what everyday soldiers go though with. I think this is how the statement " O' Lord, make it be a battle" relates to war.
